Kate from the Silk Mill is interviewed on the show ! Ripton says: It’s a jazzy kinda vibe this Sunday April 5th on The Journi Continues with Souls Liberation, 2pm to 4pm.

The first hour consists of some jazz based tunes with sub genres of the jazz format and a conversation with Kate who is the cofounder and owner of the Silk Mill art gallery and studios in Frome at which we also spoke about the upcoming Infinite Tearoom week of events which starts from April 6th to 12th at the venue.

The 2nd hour continues with some great jazz based tunes and a conversation with singer, songwriter and musician Ruth Blake. She performs live at the Silk Mill on Saturday April 11th at 9pm and Souls Liberation will be hosting the event along with doing a live DJ set with a feel good vibe, bringing some of the Caribbean vibe to Silk Mill and Frome.

Ripton Lindsay will also be facilitating a Carifolk Dance workshop at the Silk Mill on Thursday April 9th at 5pm which is a part of the Infinite Tearoom week of events.

Come and join Molly an experienced printmaker, for a fun and immersive Festive Indian Block Printing Workshop and create your own colourful designs.
Learn how to use Molly’s collection of Indian wooden block prints to design and print your own 100% organic cotton tea towel or set of eco-friendly luxury gift cards (all included in the ticket price).
Printmaking can be a super playful and fun process, easy to do with few materials, taught in a relaxed, supportive environment. Some sweet treats and hot drinks will be provided.
You will be working with eco-fabric paint – so please bring your own apron if you like or just wear some clothes you don’t mind getting decorated!
This workshop is suitable for all levels with no experience necessary. Those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Price: £45 per person
We have two dates coming up for this workshop:

Pupils at Oakfield Academy in Frome invite you to visit their ‘My Voice Matters’ photography exhibition at the Silk Mill on

Tuesday 23rd July, 5.30 – 9pm

Wednesday 24th July, 9am – 9pm

In this short photovoice project, Oakfield students worked hard to develop their photography skills to share images of what is important to them, before curating the exhibition themselves.

The exhibition runs for two days, opening at 5.30pm on Tuesday and closing at 9pm on Wednesday 24 July. We would all love to see you there to support their hard work!

Join Eleven Magpies tonight for our Frome Festival finale!

‼️ please note: New start time: 6pm, doors 5:30pm due to Euros Final.

We'll take a slightly shorter interval and finish the second set in time for those of you who wish to head elsewhere to watch the game.

For those of you that couldn't give a hoot about the match and don't know their Saka from their Pickford you can stay and party with us around a campfire.

We'll be a football free zone!
