This time last week I was wandering around Shanghai, having boarded the bullet train in Hangzhou to Shanghai and travelled at 307km/h in first class for the grand price of £18!
Today is the first day I feel "normal" after quite an exhausting 3 weeks in Bali, Nusa Lembongan, Hangzhou and Shanghai.
I absolutely loved Shanghai, it was incredibly cool and, surprisingly, didn't feel crowded!
During my 48 hours there I:
🚶🏼♀️Walked around the Bund and bumped into someone I knew!!!
🍺 Sat in a rooftop bar and paid £17 for a pint!
🚇 Navigated the Shanghai metro system
🏛️ Went to two different museums and both were shut 🙄
⛲ Visited People's Square and watched a water fountain show
🗼Went to the top of the Oriental Pearl Tower 351m up, and sat on the glass skywalk 259m high😬... definitely worth a visit
🦈 Visited the Shanghai Aquarium
🛍️ Visited the Super Brand Mall
🐭 Saw the largest Mickey Mouse
🛳️ Went on an evening river cruise
🌇 Took a thousand photos of the skyline
🌳Visited Yuyuan Garden in the rain
㊙️ Shopped in the Yuyuan Old Street bazaar
☃️ Heard Christmas music playing in a tapas bar! I don't think they knew what they were playing!
🚕 And had a very grumpy taxi driver who huffed and puffed having to lift my case into the car 🤦🏼♀️
I don't think I could have fitted much more in that that.
It was an explosion of sensory overload and I'm glad to be home...at least, until it's time to leave for the next adventure ⛵
