Here is a Lawyer/Scribe/Clerical cap.
As you can see it can be worn over a skull cap.
The cap is heavily felted with a half brim which can be worn down or tucked up!

Something new!
Late 16th century deep cuff cap.

The cap is heavily felted and is warm and comfortable.

This wee beauty is off to New York as a special commission.

Fancy a Thrum Cap!

What is it? This cap is heavily felted and has thrums knitted in! Thrums are left over wool from spinning! It makes a warm and cosy cap and many years ago sailors coated them in tar to make them waterproof! The thrums can be turned inside to give extra warmth in cold weather. I made a few of them for “Tulip Fever” film a few years ago. Also I supplied some of these to some re enactors in Malta! I know it can get hot there, but it’s windy and surrounded by the sea !!

Well folks! Website is now up and semi-running! Not finished yet but at least you can get an idea!
Rogues Gallery, shop, and client list still to go, but a least it’s visible!
Thank goodness for my daughter Justine for the help! Hope it’s another 10 years before I need a new platform!
