Hello friends

This coming Friday we are celebrating 4 years of running ecstatic dance in Folkestone!!
3rd April Good Friday

Thank you to the first timers, the old timers, the movers, the shakers, to the supporters ❤️🔥

We started in 2022 from a conversation on the old high street, fused by a love of dancing and of music.
We ventured unknowingly into this practice known as ecstatic dance.

From 6 people sessions in church halls to lofty 50 dancers and castle gardens, our love and commitment to dance and music continues untouched.

If you haven't come before, we would like to invite you to celebrate 4 years of music and dance. If you have been, we hope to see you on Friday.

🦚 Once upon a time, dancing on Good Friday was forbidden. We are of the view that dance belongs, as a way of coming together in joy and sorrow.

This year on the 3rd April, good Friday, we’re offering a space to gather in dance back at The loft — an invitation to move and connect with yourself and others through music and movement. No choreography, no talking, no phones on the dancefloor. Just dancing, big, small, gently or furiously.

Everyone is welcome.
No experience needed.
Just bring yourself and friends

🌕 Ecstatic Dance Folkestone – Friday 7th November 💃🕺

We gather again to move, connect and release through music and dance — everyone welcome, no experience needed. ✨

This month we’re joined by Shalke of Threads of Healing, a shamanic practitioner who will guide us gently into movement as we open the space together. DJ Andre will take us on a rhythmic journey through sound — from deep, grounded beats to uplifting, expansive rhythms.

As always, Sasha will hold the opening and closing circles, creating a welcoming and grounded space for all to arrive, dance, and integrate. 🌀
