Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a reliable and hands-on Driver Technician to join our team. This hybrid role involves driving event equipment to and from venues, assisting with setups and de-rigs, and supporting the technical delivery of our productions. The ideal candidate is practical, punctual, and keen to work in a fast-paced events environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive vans and trucks (up to 3.5T or higher, depending on license) to transport staging, lighting, and sound equipment
Load and unload equipment safely and efficiently
Assist with the setup, operation, and breakdown of technical systems at events
Maintain and check equipment before and after use
Work closely with our production team to meet event schedules and quality standards
Represent Technically Unique professionally on-site and with clients
Requirements:
Full UK driving licence (clean preferred)
Experience driving vans or Luton vehicles
Practical understanding of live event production equipment (lighting, sound, staging, etc.) is desirable
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment safely
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Strong work ethic, good communication skills, and a positive attitude
Desirable (but not essential):
Experience in live event setups or AV tech work
Knowledge of event venues in the South East and Greater London area
