Fantastic night last night for RNR Disco at the Reading Rhinos Anniversary Night at readingrfc

A superb evening of dancing, questionable singing, aggressive use of the bar and several people making life-changing decisions to Mr Brightside.

The dancefloor was full all night and by the end of the evening the DJ setup had witnessed:

* lost voices
* ruined knees
* at least three unrequested key changes
* and one man dancing like he’d just received terrible news from a Victorian doctor.

Huge thanks to Reading Rhinos for having us. Absolute cracking night with a brilliant crowd.

Today’s recovery plan mainly involves caffeine, silence and trying to remember where we packed the microphone receivers.

Today’s mission: soundtracking an 80th birthday party—and yes, we’re setting up while most people are still deciding if it’s too early for a biscuit.

Who says you need a late night to have a proper party? We’re bringing the tunes, the energy, and just enough volume to keep the neighbours guessing what decade it is.

From golden oldies to full-on dancefloor fillers—because turning 80 deserves more than a polite clap and a slice of cake.

Early start, big vibes, and absolutely no chance we’re behaving ourselves.

Website update 🚨 (the sensible kind)

We’re doing a bit of behind-the-scenes tidying and amalgamating the RNR Disco website into the MGJJ band website.

Why?
✅ One website instead of two
✅ Easier to find what you need
✅ Clearer enquiries & bookings
✅ Less admin, more bangers

Nothing’s changing with the services — RNR Disco is still very much alive and kicking, it’s just moving in with MGJJ so everything lives under one digital roof. Think house share, not witness protection.
