🎭 THE RAGGED TROUSERED PHILANTHROPISTS

📅 Tuesday 3 November 2026 | 7:30pm
📍 Faversham Assembly Rooms, Preston Street

Please note: Due to ongoing refurbishment of The Alex’s main hall, this performance will take place at Faversham Assembly Rooms.

Experience Robert Tressell’s timeless classic, adapted and performed by Neil Gore and directed by Louise Townsend.

Through live music, song, projections and political conjuring tricks, Neil Gore brings this powerful story to life, featuring the famous Great Money Trick at its centrepiece.

Follow a group of Edwardian painters and decorators as they struggle to survive on poverty wages while renovating a grand town house for Mayor Sweater. Joined by artist Owen, they confront the inequalities and exploitation at the heart of their working lives and society.

A compelling, thought-provoking one-person performance of a much-loved classic that remains relevant today.
