The past seven days have been crazy busy; thank you to all our wonderful customers for keeping us on our toes!

Here's a small selection from those including one that was huge - as you can see from my tiny little head poking out the top of it 😆

Also, a quick reminder that when we close this evening we won't be open again until 10am on Monday 27th October - in time for our busy halloween week (I love how many of you have ordered from the halloween range for that week. You are all amazing.

Have you had the chance to visit What’s the Occasion yet?

Sam – who is absolutely wonderful – has recently taken over from Paul and rebranded the shop (formerly Stacey’s). You’ll find a beautiful selection of cards for every occasion, a tempting range of sweets (for those of us who can never stop at just one!), and some thoughtful gifts – many of which are perfect for the upcoming festive season.

In a time when our high streets are overflowing with takeaways and barbers, we’re truly fortunate to still have independent businesses right here on our doorstep. No need to battle into town, pay over-the-top parking charges, or wait endlessly for a bus that may never come. Instead, we can enjoy being welcomed by people who genuinely care about the service they provide.

You can support What's the Occasion by liking and sharing their social media pages, whilst making it your first stop for cards and gifts. If you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for, I’m sure Sam, and her staff, will do everything possible to help you find the perfect alternative.

Patience may be a virtue, but it has never been one of mine (and anyone who knows me will back me up on that 😂), so you can imagine the sheer willpower it’s taken to keep this little secret tucked away in the shadows. But no more hiding it away… it’s time to let the magic out.

I’m beyond thrilled to unveil our very own Halloween Range! 🕸️🦇🎃 I have wanted to do this since the very beginning of Moonstones creation but the way our old webshop worked it didn't allow me the option. Now there is no stopping me.

Originally, the plan was to release these treats for just the final week of October… but honestly, why limit the fun? Halloween isn’t a day - it’s a season, which means the shop is now officially bewitched for the whole month, and every spooky, spirited item is available for you to send. 👻

Think of it as our cauldron bubbling over with mischief, charm, and a dash of wicked delight - I can’t wait for your friends and loved ones to enjoy the items as much as I’ve loved creating them.

Over the past couple of months, Clive and I have been working on a brand-new web shop for our site. This upgrade has allowed me to add many more items than before—including several new ranges. I’m especially excited about one in particular, though you’ll have to wait just a little longer for that reveal. I don’t want to spoil everything at once!

Our floral tributes are now organized into clear categories, making it much easier for customers to find exactly what they’re looking for. We’ve also removed the limit on shopping basket sizes, so you can add as many items as you like.

Another new feature is our “Perfect Pairings” category, where you’ll find thoughtful additions such as soft toys, chocolates, and a small selection of balloons.

We’ve also expanded our delivery area. After receiving so many requests to cover locations beyond our original range, we decided it made sense to make those areas a permanent part of our service.

Of course, you’re still very welcome to stop by anytime and place an order with me directly.

We all have certain colour combinations we tend to avoid. For me, it’s usually red and yellow—and when white is added, I find it even less appealing. But this open-heart tribute I created a few weeks ago completely changed my mind. The deep reds paired with the sunflowers turned out to be an exception to my usual rule, and I absolutely loved how beautifully the colours came together: rich, vibrant, and truly stunning.

As many of you may already know, I will no longer be taking on fully bespoke wedding orders. This doesn’t mean I’ll be stepping away from bridal flowers altogether — instead, I am developing a curated range of bridal designs that can be customised within set packages. These offerings will be limited, but crafted with the same care and creativity you’ve come to expect.

This past weekend marked my final fully bespoke wedding, and what a beautiful celebration it was to conclude this chapter with. From the very first meeting with my wonderful bride, to Clive’s ladder-balancing (and his first attempt at floristry — which wasn’t half bad!), to the stunning variety of flowers and colours, every moment was an absolute joy. I couldn’t have wished for a more perfect wedding to close this era as I step forward into an exciting new direction for my bridal work.

As much as I hate to admit it, as much as I've tried to resist it, this here Facebook really can be a huge help for a small business like ours. Every like, comment, share, and especially a recommendation, goes such a long way in boosting our online presence.

Before my big “clear out” back in January, we had nearly one thousand amazing followers here, many of whom contributed daily. Now that I've started fresh, we’re back to just a handful – so I’d love your help getting the word out again. Every little bit truly makes a difference!
