Always nice to meet Cornish talent! Especially when it could enhance the commercial offer of others.

No, it isn’t as cheap as a print , but it gives a vastly different “feel” to your offering. It will look great in your online listings and ..What’s more, if you buy well, that original art can always be sold onwards when you fancy a change.

Today I met Michael Hindle in his new gallery within Gweek boatyard - well worth a visit!
All sizes of original paintings available. Any of his would enhance your letting space. (Look pretty good on home walls too!)

Fascinating launch event at Scorrier House this morning. Sophie Gratton brought together truly inspiring speakers in Perry Hughes and Emily G Cunningham MBE.
Such a big change for me to not have a camera in hand and to be able to properly concentrate on all the content.
Very kindly, folks offered to take photos of me! I also had a go at a couple of “selfies” which I rarely remember to do.
Great to meet so many new people, as well as connect again with old friends.
Looking forward to whatever is being planned next!

Free event to enjoy!

If you’re in St Austell today then why not pop down to Poltair Park for their Free annual family fun day.
Lots of things to see and do and of course the amazing Cornwall Blood Bikes are their too 🥰

Well! That was a bad day that just got worse!

A trip into Newquay on a bank holiday weekend wasn’t the best choice. Got regularly walked into and bumped about with never an apology. The only busy shops were the charity ones…. and then it began to rain….

When I say “rain” I mean absolutely chucking down giant raindrops - shortly to be joined by hail!

We decided to return to Falmouth. It’s only as I sit down in a coffee shop that I realise that in my haste to exit my car, I’d zipped my blouse into my coat!!

That wretched zip refused to budge and the blouse refused to be pulled out!
The end result was a HUGE tear in my blouse as I forced my way out of my coat!

I had to knot the torn ends together to preserve what was left of my dignity!

Grrrrr!

Gerry had better not expect a complicated dinner tonight is all that I can say!!!

Much to my poor husbands embarrassment, no matter that I’m on a “day off” - if I see an interesting face I will want to capture it! “You can’t walk up to complete strangers and ask!!” Oh yes I can!

I went to House for their antiques fair and to admire the bluebells. … but these faces were what caught my eye. I asked whether they’d mind my photographing them. …

The first is Paul Atterbury, art expert and on Antiques Roadshow. The second - no idea! Just a good face in great light.

I did buy a brooch, but it was the photography that really made my day!

Seasalt Cornwall have got an artist creating an original painting in their Falmouth store window to celebrate 30 years in business.
Brilliant idea! Serving free drink and buns too to celebrate. Do take a look and pop in.

But, what was the icing on the cake for me? Meeting a fellow Falmouth photographer for the first time!
