Not all heroes wear capes; some arrive with forklifts and toolbelts, ready to help in unexpected ways 🧡🚂
This time last year, a 7-foot train, now sitting proudly at the heart of Halloween Station, arrived at our door. It was designed by the late Graham Hynd, our founder, whose imagination and creativity shaped everything Halloween Station stands for.
There was just one problem. Because of its size, there was no way the train would fit through our doors! After reaching out to three local companies without success, Gregor—who carried on Graham’s legacy by completing Halloween Station—arrived with a forklift to move the train. To bring the train inside, Graham Wright devised a solution to remove the front window, the only feasible option given its size.
Even then, the train's weight required additional assistance. Our Halloween Station gang of ghouls—Stuart, Ciaran, Lisa, Caitlin, and Colin—rolled up their sleeves and helped move the train into the exact spot that Graham Hynd had so carefully measured.
The process was challenging, both physically and emotionally, but it became a defining moment in our brand's story. Although Graham never saw the train in person, we believe he would be proud—not only of the centrepiece he envisioned, but also of the dedicated people who brought it to life.
To everyone who helped that day, thank you.
You did more than move a train; you carried forward a legacy 🧡
