Benholm is proud to support a new research study underway at Nottingham Trent University, exploring the extent to which indoor plants improve health and wellbeing in the workplace 🔎🌿

We supplied and installed over 20 plants and a green wall for the purpose-built ‘green office’, advising on species selection, positioning, and maintenance to help create the ideal conditions for the study.

Researchers will monitor participants’ heart rate, blood pressure, and overall wellbeing while they work in the green office, comparing results with a plant-free environment. Insights from the study could inform future approaches to healthier, more human-centred office design.

The project runs until December and is led by Professor Emeritus Derek Clements-Croome, who is also a visiting professor at NTU from University of Reading, with Dr Yangang Xing, an associate professor at NTU, and Dr Tatsuya Matsuoka, a visiting scholar at NTU from Shimizu Corporation.
