A summer at the farm 🥬

Over the last few months, Wendling Beck Market Garden has become our temporary home for bakery mornings, pizza nights, and long-table feasts.

It’s given us the chance to cook with the garden and meet so many of the people who’ll become part of Wild Things, and begin shaping the food and atmosphere of our permanent home.

Massive thanks to Meg, Tommy & Helen for hosting us in their beautiful glasshouse and yard!

Now the summer series has come to an end, our attention turns fully to opening the kitchen, bakery and shop at Nature’s Corner this November!

Before then, we’ll be back at Wendling Beck Harvest Festival on Saturday 12 September, with Wild Things bakery and seasonal food from 10am.
Come and see us, explore the farm and celebrate the harvest with us.

Tonight! Our final Wild Things pizza night of the summer 🍕

We’ll be at Wendling Beck from 4pm with sourdough pizzas and seasonal toppings.

We’ll have a **limited number of pizzas available for walk-ins**, so come down early if you want to make sure you get one.

A little tour of the build with , talking us through some of the brilliant materials she’s brought into the design at Wild Things.

There’s been so much thought behind every choice — not just how the building looks, but how the materials feel, age and sit within the landscape around us.

We’ve loved watching Juliet’s ideas start to become real, and it’s very exciting to finally be able to share some of the details.

Such a brilliant night with Jacob Emerson of .steampacket at .

The BBQ’d hogget was absolutely perfect, and the merguez made from the trimmings and offal were one of the real highlights — exactly the kind of whole-animal cooking we love, making the most of every part and wasting as little as possible.

It was a real honour to cook alongside Jacob — such a talented chef, and such a generous, collaborative way to work.

A really special evening of good produce, great cooking and a full table. Huge thanks to everyone who came and made it what it was.

This week at Wild Things 🌿🍕🥐

Thursday 27th — Sourdough Pizza
Saturday 29th — Bakery Pop-Up

These the last of our ‘summer series’ bakery + pizza pop-ups before we open properly at Nature’s Corner so come and see us while you can!

We’re making the most of the late-summer bounty too — greengages, tomatoes, wild plums and all the good things coming out of the garden and hedgerows right now will be finding their way onto pizzas, into pastries and across the bakery menus.

Pizza can be pre-ordered via the Link in bio. We’ve been selling out for the last few weeks so we do recommend it ☺️

When ordering, please make sure you select the correct location: “Wendling Beck Pizza” and choose your collection time.

The Bakery Pop up will be stocked with sourdough, pastries, cakes and bakes, plus massive Foccacia sandwiches on Saturday from 10am.

Pizza tonight at Nature’s Corner. Our penultimate Pizza Thursday! It’s become one of our favourite weekly rhythms: dough, fire, boxes, children running about, people bumping into neighbours, bread being collected, supper sorted. 4pm-8pm.

BUILD UPDATE 🔨🌿

A couple of big milestones at Nature’s Corner this week.

Our private dining container has arrived and been lifted into place, and the roof is now on the kitchen and bakery.

It’s brilliant seeing plans turning into real spaces now — and with opening only just around the corner, everything suddenly feels like it’s moving very quickly.

Still plenty to do, but Wild Things is really starting to take shape.

Meet the people behind Wild Things at Nature’s Corner. Rich brings the bread, dough, pastry and fire. Lola brings the seasonal cooking, hosting and instinct for gathering people around food. Rosie & Alex bring the place, the local roots and the connection to the wider Nature’s Corner vision. is shaping the building that will hold it all. Together, we’re creating a kitchen, bakery and gathering space rooted in food, nature and community.

A few tickets remaining for our final feast of the summer

This Saturday, Jacob Emerson, of .steampacket , joins us at Wendling Beck for a long-table feast cooked over fire, using produce from the market garden and some brilliant local ingredients.

Expect botanical drinks, seasonal plates, local hogget, house-made merguez, smoky ezme, wood-fired flatbreads and grilled stone fruits with fig-leaf panna cotta.
