THANK YOU 😘

I am delighted and hugely grateful to announce that you have voted us Wedding Florists of the Year again in the Cotswolds Wedding Awards. In the melee of modern life, finding time to register and vote is an act of kindness and recognition that I will never take for granted.

Al and I have had a rollercoaster of a year, with losing my lovely Dad in February and health issues to overcome but we are here, profoundly grateful for the community we have become part of and the clients that place their trust in our creativity. I’ll do a proper round up of the year at Twixmas but suffice to say, it’s been one for the ages!

Huge congrats to all the other winners and especially , and

And the biggest thanks of all to our incredible team of florists and flower suppliers, especially , and and last but never least, the man behind the flowers for putting up with all this flower malarkey 😘

THE SUNDAY NIGHT SERIES: THE MAGIC OF THE SECOND LIFE

The true artistry of a luxury wedding design lies in creating a story that evolves with the day. For us at Corky and Prince, our breathtaking ceremony florals are rarely temporary—they are designed for a purposeful second life, transitioning effortlessly to carry your aesthetic right into the evening celebration.

This is the alchemy of repurposing, where every fresh bloom is maximised to ensure your visual investment pays dividends across the entire wedding.

Abundance at the Table

The exquisite aisle meadows that lined your walk-in—the ones filled with delicate blooms, creating that immersive path, find their next perfect setting at the reception. These lush, ground-level arrangements are strategically placed as low floral hedges along the base of your banqueting tables or grouped beautifully around a key focal point like the welcome sign or table plan. This ensures the feel of the wedding flowers follows your guests, providing a rich, abundant setting for candlelight and conversation.

This is intentional design at its most effective: ensuring your most significant wedding ceremony florals continue to enchant and surprise your guests, maintaining an atmosphere of quiet, continuous abundance long after the vows are exchanged.

The Seamless Transition

Imagine the moment: the emotional power of your vows is complete, and your guests move toward the reception. That majestic floral arch that framed your promises is not left behind. Instead, my team works swiftly and subtly to give it a new purpose, moving it to embrace the entrance to your dining space or marquee. This creates a powerful, immediate threshold, a visual echo that ties the sanctity of the ceremony to the joy of the feast, reinforcing your hand-crafted floral narrative every step of the way.

Tell us: Which transformation detail is your favourite—the archway entry or the meadow hedge?

A VOTE FOR PASSION

There’s a distinct nip in the air, and while the festive spirit is just around the corner 🎄, this week belongs to the industry, and we are humbled to share that we have been nominated again for the Cotswolds Wedding Awards. The voting link is in my profile bio 😉.

Seven years ago, I traded the corporate jungle for the wild, beautiful adventure of entrepreneurship. I stepped into the unknown, armed only with a love for expressive design, and it has been life affirming. We’ve since immersed ourselves in the creation of 200+ weddings—from grand-scale international collaborations in Southern Italy to deeply intimate local celebrations just around the Cirencester corner.

At the heart of this whirlwind are my twin stars, my eternal anchors: my clients and my flowers. They are the essence of the Corky and Prince ethos and mission.

I am one of life’s romantics who hold true to the belief that life is better when it is shared with your soulmate; that a wedding is one of modern life’s most sacred rites of passage, and must be joyously celebrated in a way that feels deeply personal.

I believe that flowers are not just decoration—they are the living, breathing expression of that love and joy, capable of weaving abundant, unforgettable memories directly onto the heart and soul.

Thank you to everyone who nominated us and made time to vote for us. We are so grateful to continue this artistic journey with you. The artistry and the response it brings is the reward.

But in an age where genuine craft can be obscured by noise, we are not jaded about the relevance of these nominations. They serve as a vital signal: a beacon of proven, heartfelt dedication.

A vote cast for Corky & Prince is more than praise; it is a profound nod of trust, assuring future couples that here, they will find someone who cares deeply about the who and the why behind every single stem. That is the true prize.

SUNDAY NIGHT SERIES: BRIDESMAIDS BOUQUET DESIGN

The bridesmaid bouquet is a powerful design accessory, yet it’s often defaulted to a scaled-down version of the bridal bouquet. At Corky and Prince, every bloom is an intentional choice used to enhance the final wedding portrait.

OPTION 1: The Focused Monotype Bouquet

The monotype (single-bloom) bouquet is a statement of sophisticated restraint. This choice is about contrast, texture, and structure.

Goal: Define the Bride: When the bride is holding a highly abundant, mixed bouquet, placing a clean, structured monotype bouquet in the bridesmaids’ hands creates immediate contrast. This contrast ensures the bride’s look feels infinitely more powerful and unique.

Goal: Elevate Structure: The uniform nature of one bloom naturally holds a stronger architectural shape. This look perfectly complements modern, minimalist, or highly structured bridal wear.

Result: A clean, visually impactful look where the single colour and texture of the bloom speak for themselves.

OPTION 2: The Expressive Mixed Bouquet

When you choose a beautiful, scaled-down version of the bride’s mixed bouquet, you are aiming for visual harmony and depth across the wedding party.

Goal: Cohesion: This choice is perfect when the bridal party’s colour palette dresses are printed or mixed colours and patterns, and the flowers need to carry the main colour story and texture.

Goal: Narrative Consistency: It maintains the aesthetic seamlessly from the bride to the entire party.

Result: A soft, unified aesthetic that blends the party into one cohesive, romantic scene.

There’s no right or wrong choice - only the choice that best fits your vision.

SUNDAY SERIES: THE ART OF INTENTIONAL GREENERY ✨🌿

Greenery is often seen as a backdrop, but for us at Corky and Prince, it is the soul of abundant design. It’s what gives a floral arrangement movement, depth, and a true connection to the wild, untamed gardens we love.

We avoid using greenery as simple filler. Instead, we select specific varieties for their unique texture, colour, and architectural shape.

Here is how we use greenery to build an expressive, high-end look:

Creating Texture and Shadow: We layer different tones—from dusty silver-grey olive branches to deep, emerald ferns. This layering creates beautiful shadows and an incredible depth that makes the arrangement feel truly organic and luxurious.

Adding Movement and Flow: We choose spillers like trailing ivy, honeysuckle vine, or jasmine. Allowing these elements to cascade naturally over the edge of a vessel or down an installation creates a fluid, effortless elegance that can’t be achieved with flowers alone.

Establishing Atmosphere: The right foliage can set the mood before any flower is added. Think textural Spanish moss for an ethereal aesthetic, oversized leaves to convey tropical grandeur, or sinuous grasses for a cool, contemporary simplicity.

Greenery is the foundation of the garden-gathered aesthetic. Let us show you how we use it to elevate your entire floral story.

THE COTSWOLDS: LANDSCAPE AND LUXURY

My clients’ brief for their wedding weekend in the Cotswolds this summer was encapsulated by a feeling: the desire to deeply connect to the landscape, capturing the fleeting effortless beauty of an English garden in full, expressive bloom.

The resulting designs were truly considered - layered, textural, and undeniably whimsical. We celebrated locally grown flowers in glorious abundance, ensuring everything felt gathered and natural.

From the breathtaking floral arch at the front doorway to to the garden-gathered bridal bouquet, every element was crafted to look serenely spontaneous.

This was a true joy to realise. And I am absolutely loving the 35mm film images captured by the incredible .

THE SUNDAY NIGHT SERIES II - WHEN ALL WHITE IS YOUR VIBE

There’s a common misconception that designing with white is “safe.” I disagree.

Designing an incredible, immersive space using only varying shades of white and ivory is actually one of the most intentional and high-impact decisions you can make for your wedding. It strips away distractions and forces the eye to appreciate the artistry.

Here’s my philosophy behind a white-only palette:

✨It’s Not Flat, It’s Layered: The magic happens in the detail—the difference between smooth white petals, the old wooden boathouse and the sheer draping fabric creates glorious visual depth.

✨It’s Timeless, Never Trendy: White doesn’t age. These designs will look just as chic and sophisticated in 10 years as they do today.

✨Magnifies Light: White blooms and textiles reflect every flicker of candlelight and every beam of sunlight, making your space feel larger, brighter, and more ethereal.

If you’re seeking a design that whispers luxury rather than shouts, the white-on-white approach is always a breathtaking choice. DM me if this is your dream vibe.

UNEXPECTED COLOUR COMBO: JEWELS AND PASTELS

Whilst digging through the archives, I stumbled across this winter wedding from a few years ago. And it made my heart smile. Delicate smokey mauve anemones (the one with the inky black heart 🖤) blending so harmoniously with rich velvet jewel tones of roses and ranunculus. Perfect if you’re dreaming of a subtle palette but feel it needs some warmth and depth.

Save this if you’re planning a wedding during the colder months! You’ll be pleasantly surprised just how many lush flowers are available for your day. DM me for more details 😉

THE SUNDAY NIGHT SERIES I - STOP CHOOSING FLOWERS: START DESIGNING FEELING.

Before the mood board and spreadsheets take over, close your eyes and ask yourself ‘What do we want our wedding to feel like?’ Is it a feeling of immersive luxury? Or a subtle intentional whisper of happiness? The flowers we use are just the materials; the feelings they elicit is the masterpiece that lasts forever. Swipe for three words that defined this autumn 🍂 celebration at historic and my signature expressive abundance style.
