FLORAL MAGICIAN ✨🪄🧚

Our American clients Hope and Tristan celebrated their love in a super stylish wedding last week at in Gloucestershire UK. This one was straight out of a fairytale with a handsome groom and a stunning bride, together with the best dressed guests of the season.

Hope and I carefully planned the florals for maximum impact and ambience with a supersized floral canopy in an ombré of pastel flowers for the reception. The five bridesmaids wore different pastel shades and I designed on trend single variety bouquets to complement their look. Super happy with this one ☝️ as were my lovely clients 😊

“Thank you for being a true magician and turning my dreams into reality!”

MAY AT FOXHILL

L & B’s May wedding in the Cotswolds was a subtle symphony of pastel shades with peach and pale pinks blended with sage greens. A church wedding featuring the bride’s home choir was followed by a celebration at Foxhill Manor on the Farncombe Estate. Still not over the floral arch at the entrance to the Manor. 🍑🌸💚which is a good thing as we’re booked to do it again very soon!

HOW TO DO THE MODERN PASTEL PALETTE

Many clients are drawn to the softness and romance of a pastel colour scheme for their day yet are nervous it’s going to look slightly dated. The solution? Add a couple of warmer tones such as a dusky blue or a mellow peach 🍑. These accents could be added through the florals, accessories such as ties and pocket squares, or through the table-scaping details such as stationery, napkins or placemats.

For this summer wedding at iconic in Wiltshire we added a warm peachy tone to the vanilla, blush and pale blue colour palette and it really made all the flowers sing!🥰. Wedding planner Jen styled the tables with blue china and water glasses together with a dusky pink knotted napkin which created a laid back luxury vibe.

THE INNER GLOW OF HAPPINESS

Now I’ve been blessed with many Elmore Court weddings over the years but this one has a special place in my heart ❤️ because of the people at the heart of the love story. Bride Siobhan and I met in my very first wedding season, when she photographed a Cotswold wedding. Roll on a few years and I was thrilled when Siobhan asked me to be her wedding florist.

Now I really feel for wedding professionals when it comes to planning their own day - they have almost too many reference points, an overload of possibilities experienced at other couples’ days. How hard must it be to shut out the mental noise and find your own version of perfect! But that’s exactly what Siobhan and Matt did. Their elegant ceremony was a true reflection of their relationship and the after party 🎉 well let’s just say that band know how to fill a dance floor and keep the energy flowing 💃🕺🪩

The floral brief was sublime - elegant neutrals in soft and buttery shades of vanilla, apricot and pashmina pink in my signature garden gathered romantic style. Still one of my favourite bridal bouquets.

IF COLOUR IS YOUR THING - READ ON 🌈

Some weddings just radiant happiness and Sarah and Joe’s in the Cotswolds was precisely that. If colour is your love language, read on. I’d sum up the whole day as vibrant, joyful and deeply personal. From Sarah’s bold cascading bouquet of bright flowers to the garlands of paper lanterns, the VW camper van Photo Booth to the hand painted pet portraits on the soles of Sarah’s shoes - this one was a masterclass in your day, your way.

UNTIL NEXT TIME MY BEAUTIES

Ahh - ranunculus! These swirling beauties steal my heart afresh each season but now its time to say goodbye until next winter. This gorgeous flower is a worthy choice of hero bloom for any bride getting married between late November and early May.

She comes in a dazzling array of hues - from the most delicate blush to rich vavavoom oranges and burgundy. The size of ranunculus makes them ideal for bridal bouquets, and whilst they are a little smaller than a peony or rose, the sculptural quality of those concentric circle of immaculate petals are so beguiling that I defy anyone not to fall for her understated charms.

Whatever your wedding vision and vibe, there is a perfect ranunculus for everyone IMHO. So please indulge me whilst we feast our eyes 👀 again on these heavenly flowers.

HEAVENLY PEACH 🍑

Now I usually wait for the pro piccies but this one is just too lush not to share. Foxhill Manor bathed in sunshine and a dream of a colour palette - warm peaches, soft ivories and splashes of playful pinks. We add sage greens to the colour story and the results just sung. Huge congratulations to B & L and big thanks to the team at for looking after us so well. My flower fairies were in their A game - thank you , and for your talent and dedication. It’s going to be another incredible season of flowering methinks!

We’re off to the Circus 🎪 now (and I actually met Toti Gifford this week and was embarrassingly fan girl 😳😉). Enjoy your Sunday peeps.

HELLO BEAUTIFUL

Ta-dah - and just like that it was Peony season. These flowers so beloved by brides the world over have such a short season - May to late June usually and if the weather gods are with us. As well as the ubiquitous blush, she also comes in a delicate white, coral and deep pink. My favourite variety of all is this little beauty - Duchesse De Nemours. Not only is she pure white and super fluffy, she also has a delectable scent.

Is this the perfect hero flower for your early summer bridal bouquet? Let me know!

PLEASE DON'T FORGET THE MUMS

Mothers of the bride and groom tend to move in the background at weddings in my experience - making sure everyone, particularly the happy couple, are having the best of times. Yet it's a watershed day for them too. The outfit, hat and accessories are chosen with great care, nothing to clashing in colour with the bridesmaids yet something elegant that speaks to their personal style and values. Some but not all outfits benefit from a final floral flourish. A beautifully crafted floral accent, be it a timeless shoulder corsage or a modern wrist design, can serve as a poignant symbol of their cherished role. I recommend that you talk to your wedding florist about the design possibilities for your Mum.
