It’s Volunteers Week!

🌟 A Huge Thank You to Our Amazing Volunteers! 🌟

At Inclusion Failsworth, our Failsworth in Colour event simply wouldn't be possible without the incredible volunteers who generously give up their precious time to support our community.

Whether you're helping set up, welcoming families, running activities, stalls, serving refreshments, performing or lending a helping hand wherever it's needed, your kindness, dedication, and enthusiasm make a real difference.

You help us to create a welcoming, inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and supported.

To every volunteer who has contributed to our events – thank you. Your time, energy, and commitment are truly appreciated, and we are grateful to have such wonderful people as part of the Inclusion Failsworth family. 🌈

Our next event is 22nd August 2026. Interested in making a difference in your local community?

We're always looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to join our team. No matter how much time you can offer, we'd love to hear from you!

This Pride Month, we remember the Stonewall Riots of June 1969 when LGBTQ+ people in New York City stood up against discrimination and police harassment. Their courage sparked a movement for equality and helped shape modern LGBTQ+ rights activism.

Pride is both a celebration and a reminder of the ongoing fight for dignity, visibility, and inclusion. πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ

01/06/2026

πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ June is globally recognised as Pride month. πŸ³οΈβ€βš§οΈ

This is more than a celebration, it's a reminder that countless LGBTQ+ people have fought, and continue to fight, for the simple right to live openly, safely, and authentically.
πŸ‘πŸ§‘β€πŸ€β€πŸ§‘

It honors those who came before us, those who lost their lives to hatred and discrimination, and those who refused to be silenced when the world told them they didn't belong. ✊🏼✊🏽✊🏿

In today's political climate, Pride matters more than ever. Around the world, and even in places where progress once seemed secure, LGBTQ+ rights are being debated, restricted, and challenged. ‼️

For many people, the ability to exist openly is still not guaranteed. Visibility is still an act of courage. Equality is still a work in progress. πŸ˜”

Pride is not about asking for special treatment. It is about affirming a simple truth that every person deserves dignity, respect, safety, and the freedom to be who they are without fear.

This month, we celebrate the resilience, strength, joy, and humanity of the LGBTQ+ community. We stand with those whose voices are being challenged, whose identities are being questioned, and whose rights are being threatened.

Because when any group's humanity is up for debate, we all have a responsibility to speak up!

Pride began as a protest. It remains a promise that love is stronger than hate, that visibility creates change, and that no one should ever have to hide who they are to be accepted.

πŸ³οΈβ€βš§οΈ Happy Pride Month. πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ

In light of the recent EHRC discussions and guidance, we want our trans friends, families and community members to hear this clearly from us:

We stand with you. Always. πŸ³οΈβ€βš§οΈ

At Inclusion Failsworth, we believe every person deserves dignity, safety, respect and the freedom to live openly as themselves without fear, judgement or exclusion. 🀍

Trans rights are human rights. They are not up for debate.🩡

We know this has been an upsetting and uncertain time for many within the trans community, but you are not alone. Your identity is valid, your voice matters and your place within our community is unquestionable. 🩷

We will continue to champion inclusion, stand against discrimination and create spaces where everyone is welcomed, valued and celebrated exactly as they are.

With love, solidarity and pride. πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆπŸ³οΈβ€βš§οΈ

May 17th

Today is International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOBIT).

At Inclusion Failsworth, we stand alongside LGBTQ+ individuals, families, parents, carers, and communities in recognising the importance of challenging discrimination, prejudice, and violence wherever it exists.

While progress has been made, there is still more work to do to ensure every LGBTQ+ person feels safe, valued, respected, and free to live as their authentic self.

Together, we continue to promote inclusion, equality, and acceptance for all.
