🎻 CEILIDH OR DJ?

There’s something about a ceilidh at a Scottish wedding that just gets everyone up dancing! 💃

Don’t know the steps? Don’t worry — the caller talks you through them. Although there’s always someone who goes the wrong way! 😂

It’s a brilliant way to get both families, friends and generations mixing, and you don’t need to be a dancer to join in.

Not sure about a full night of ceilidh? Try a set followed by a DJ or band. Best of both worlds!

What does agnostic mean when it comes to your wedding ceremony? 🤍

Agnostic means I don’t follow or promote one particular religion or belief system. Instead, I create ceremonies that are centred around you, your love and the life you’re building together.

Maybe you come from different cultures. Maybe you have different religious backgrounds. Maybe one of you is religious and the other isn’t. Or perhaps you simply want a ceremony that feels like you rather than following a traditional format.

Whatever your backgrounds, I can bring those stories, traditions and beliefs together in a way that feels meaningful and personal.

Because love doesn’t always look the same. And your ceremony doesn’t have to either. ✨

We’re looking to welcome a few new faces to our team at The Woll as we continue with our busy season.

We’re a lively, family-run business in the Scottish Borders, with our restaurant, golf course, weddings, functions, events and accommodation all bringing together a great mix of customers and visitors throughout the year.

That means no two days are quite the same — and neither is the work.

We’re interested in hearing from people with a range of experience and availability. Whether you’re an experienced hospitality professional, a good cook looking for a new challenge, maybe you are retired and looking to get out the house, someone looking for part-time work, or simply thinking about a change, we’d love to hear from you.

We have opportunities across our kitchen and front-of-house teams, and we’re particularly keen to hear from people who are:

👨‍🍳 Experienced in a busy kitchen or restaurant
🍽️ Enjoy working as part of a team
🍷 Have hospitality, restaurant or bar experience
🌿 Are looking for part-time or flexible work
😊 Or simply have a great attitude and want to learn

You don’t necessarily need a long list of qualifications or an impressive job title. Reliability, a good attitude and being someone who works well with others are just as important to us.
