Super hard post incoming… ❤️

Wish Upon A Spa will be closing our doors on 1st November, following our last booked party.

This has been such a difficult decision, but family life has changed so much since I first opened the shop.

When we opened, I was a full-time accountant with three young children, two of whom love nothing more than a good pamper 😂 I spotted a gap in the market and ran with it.

The shop was built around mine and my husband’s full-time jobs. Then in January we completely changed our lives and took on The Clinton Arms… and what a year it’s been 😂

Juggling the pub, the shop and three young children for the last nine months has been A LOT. Having two businesses that both need us most at weekends just doesn’t work for our family anymore.

But it isn’t quite the end of my time at 78a Exeter Road.

I’m going back to my accounting roots and opening The Business Room from the same premises, offering accountancy + business support focused on actually understanding your numbers and using them to make better business decisions.

So… what happens to Wish Upon A Spa?

I would absolutely LOVE for it to carry on.

Since opening, we’ve hosted over 300 parties and celebrated with around 1,000 children 🥹❤️

I’m looking for someone who might want to take it on and make it their own.

To every parent who trusted us with their child’s birthday and every little one who walked through our doors, chose their nail colours, put on a robe and made the shop louder and happier for a couple of hours.

It honestly has been magical.

Not a single party has ever really felt like work, and creating Wish Upon A Spa has been one of the most fun and rewarding things I’ve ever done.

I genuinely wish there were enough hours in the week to keep doing it.

Here’s to the last few weeks of making little people feel very, very special. 🥂✨

Wish Upon A Spa had such a busy and brilliant weekend at Clinton Fest! 💖✨

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came along, visited our little setup, enjoyed some hair, glitter, face painting and sparkle, and supported both us and the pub! 🥰 Your support honestly means the world to us.

And of course, a massive thank you to everyone who continues to support Wish Upon A Spa ~ whether you’ve booked a party, visited us at this event, shared our posts, recommended us to friends or simply followed along. 💕✨

We also wanted to let you know that we’ve recently lost access to our Instagram page 😩📱 and we’re currently working through a few issues behind the scenes to get everything back up and running.

Please don’t worry though… we are still here, still taking bookings and all existing bookings are absolutely safe! 💖 Any enquiries and bookings will continue to be dealt with as normal while we work on getting everything sorted.
