This is utterly terrifying but so so exciting.

Me and my partner have decided to finally live out our dream of having a coffee trailer.

Floristry will always be such an important part of my life which is why I obviously couldn’t give it up.

Combining two of my favourite things, coffee & flowers, we will be going on the journey to turn an old horse box into a mobile coffee shop and bouquet stand.

Follow these tips to keep your flowers going for longer...

Tip One.
Cutting stems at a 45 degree angle gives more surface area for water to be absorbed. Do this every time the water gets changed.

Tip Two.
Cut flowers don’t like too much sunlight/heat. The cooler the room, the longer your flowers will last. Draughts also make your flowers unhappy: (

Tip Three.
Replacing the water every few days stops bacteria from growing. Leaves are the biggest cause of bacteria growth so remove all leaves below the water line.

The tips above are for hand-tied bouquets. Bouquets displayed in boxes, living vases or aqua-packs come with their own care card😁🌷

I’ve been really enjoying sorting out the garden recently so when a customer came to me and said they wanted an arrangement to include Gerberas, I knew I wanted to create something that looked like it came straight from the garden! 🪴🪏🩷

The boring bits…

So much time is spent doing the dull stuff before even touching a flower;

🌷Cutting/folding cellophane
🌷Making up boxes
🌷Ordering stock
🌷Invoices
🌷Cleaning & tidying

It’s all part of the job (that I LOVE) but it is often forgotten about when pricing is concerned. Time is money and all that 😋
