Always a real pleasure to pause for a coffee when working at Taunton Deane Crematorium and such a great facility for visitors to the crematorium and the cemetery. Delicious coffee and snacks and always the friendliest service from the team at the coffee cabin

Having had two ceremonies at North Devon Crematorium today with two superb independent funeral directors H. N. Blackmore & Sons Funeral Directors and W. S. Gayton & Sons; I’ve really appreciated the fragrance from the roses.
Simply beautiful at the moment. It’s a wonderful thing to be met with when leaving the chapel or walking around the lovely grounds.

It was lovely to meander through the footpaths at East Devon Crematorium today following the funeral ceremony of a dearly loved gentleman who left the earth too soon. It’s a beautiful place to reflect and enjoy some time with nature.

I had the pleasure to visit Orchard Meadows Natural Burials today and what a beautiful spot it is. The most idyllic and peaceful final resting place for burials or interment of ashes.

As a celebrant I can get requested to craft ceremonies that have some spiritual content or none and I’m equally happy doing either. Spring and Easter are great reminders that light follows dark, that love survives death and that is true for all. Whether we follow a religion or recognise this as spiritual is our choice. But those we love really do go on in our hearts, returning to us time after time in many moments long after they are gone; and that is something really worth celebrating and holding on to. Wishing everyone a peaceful and hope filled Easter.

A beautiful day at Exeter & Devon Crematorium and Memorial Gardens last week for the funeral of a proud Scotsman and a great pleasure working alongside The South West Bagpiper who brought a very special and fitting ambience to the ceremony. Always good to work with Walter H. Squires & Son
