I wonder how many of you know about brilliant local project Love Food CIC ? I first met the director, Maresa, as a customer at the tearoom, probably ten years ago now, when the whole project was still in it's infancy. Nowadays they have a permanent base at the top of Cowick St (in St Thomas) where you'll find a well stocked community fridge (free and available to everyone), a programme of cookery classes, workshops, talks and other food-based activities plus a weekly lunch club (just turn up, with payment by donation as you see fit)!
So if you're free on Thursdays and would enjoy a home-cooked plant-based lunch (and some friendly conversation) then do consider popping in at around 12.30pm. Sometimes they even let me loose in the kitchen - see below for this weeks' pudding...
