Excitement turned into utter disappointment!

Bought these earlier in the year as I like to add a few new dahlias to my collection and these were in the pinky/peach colours that I’m enjoying at the moment and was excited to get them out of the box when they arrived yesterday. However, having taken them out and inspected them for broken necks this is what I’m left with.

Dahlias need a tuber, a neck and an eye to grow so I’m not sure what will happen with these

Lovely couple of evenings…Friday making Christmas wreaths with a couple of lovely ladies, their wreaths were beautiful with lots of lovely homegrown or local foliage and then Saturday listening to my daughter play oboe in her University Symphony Orchestra, Tchaikovskys Symphony Number 5, a lovely piece I’d not heard before.

When you’ve spent all day in the garden clearing beds ready for next years flowers and you’re feeling a little low, there’s nothing like picking a bunch of flowers to cheer yourself up. Lovely chrysanthemums, pineapple sage, snapdragon, euphorbia, zinnias roses (which smell divine!) and some carnations
