Our team was honoured to provide both security and medical cover, helping to ensure everyone could enjoy the celebrations in a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment.

Pride is about visibility, acceptance, community, and love, and it's an honour to play a small part in making these celebrations safe and enjoyable for all. Seeing so much joy, colour, and support throughout the day was truly inspiring.

A huge thank you to the organisers, volunteers, performers, and everyone who attended for making Exmouth Pride such a special event. And a special shout-out to our amazing security officers and medical team, whose professionalism, compassion, and friendly approach helped make the day a success. We are incredibly proud of the service they provide at every event we support.

🏳️‍🌈 Standing Proud with Exmouth Pride 🏳️‍🌈

As we prepare to support Exmouth Pride with both security and medical provision this weekend, we're reminded why events like this matter so much. Recently, there have been reports of Pride banners and displays being removed around the town. While disappointing, these actions do not diminish the message behind Pride or the strength of the community it represents.

We take abuse and discrimination seriously, and we’d like to assure everyone attending that this will not be tolerated by our staff. Emrys will act in the best interests of protecting those attending and running the event.

Pride is about visibility, inclusion, respect, and the freedom for everyone to be themselves without fear. It is a celebration of diversity and a reminder that every person deserves to feel safe, valued, and accepted.

Our team at Emrys will be on hand throughout Exmouth Pride to help ensure the event remains a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable space for all. We are proud to support the organisers, participants, volunteers, and everyone attending.

Acts intended to discourage or silence communities often have the opposite effect - they bring people together, strengthen resolve, and highlight the importance of standing up for one another.

Let’s Hear it for the Girls - and women’s safety

Did you know Emrys Group is a FEMALE-LED business? Not something you see everyday in the security field - but something we’re paving the way to change

Our Managing Director Chloe plays a vital role; both at the forefront and behind the scenes

Emrys’ approach is (unfortunately) not always industry standard, but it’s the standard we expect. For ourselves, our friends, our sisters and daughters.

The safety of women at night (SWaN) isn’t up to par, and something we want to change - from drink spiking to consent awareness and everything in-between.

That’s why Emrys Group Ltd are a part of Exeter's Safety of Women at Night Charter. Commited to addressing the causes and effects of violence against women and girls in Exeter and beyond.

Alongside this, we actively aim to reduce the National Crisis of violence against women and girls (VAWG) within our role.

VAWG covers risks that security teams encounter daily but historically weren't trained to recognise. Traditional security focused on removing troublemakers. However Emrys focuses on PREVENTING harm before it escalates.

How we do it is a 3 step approach:

Prevention
* Visible mixed-gender teams
* Proactive patrol styles
* Staff trained to identify predatory behaviour
* Safe reporting routes for attendees

Protection
* Trauma-informed response
* Dedicated welfare capability
* Female officers available on request
* Safe es**rt policies
