Well, well, well! What a wonderful, wonderful day once again! Etwall Family Music Festival gave everything this year. All the artists smashed it. The choir and wind band, The Excuses, Ewan Craft, Raindogs, Ricky and The Retros (last minute stand ins featuring the legend that is Mr Simon Holmes pulling in an extra shift!) and The In-Here Brothers all did an amazing job. Bob On Arts did an outstanding job with the sound. The Cricket Club and Etwall Primary PTFA all worked their socks off to make it what it was. But the glue that holds it all together is Lu Newton. She’s sweated blood and tears over the last few years to create something that is truly quite special. A festival that’s respected by the artists, who keep coming back, and loved by the villagers. This was her last one, and boy will she be missed. We will be back next year, but this time we’ll be punters! Thank you everyone involved. It’s been emotional. X
