Hello people of Esher!
I'm coming with saxophonist Jon Lloyd to play at Riverhouse Barn in Walton on Thames tomorrow, Sunday. With my exquisite duo Naissance. Is it jazz? A bit. Is it classical? Yes quite a bit. Can you hear the blues in there somewhere? Yes you can! But more as a sort of European folk music scale version of it. Ah is there folk music in there somewhere? Yes! That too! Naissance is pitched very much in the area of ECM label aesthetics, with elements of ambient music, a touch of electronics occasionally, otherwise just saxophone and piano exploring beauty, space and silence.
Something close to meditation.
And Riverhouse Barn is the perfect setting.
Music starts at 8pm.
