Happy 8th Birthday, Rafe 🤍🎈
It’s been a while since I’ve posted, and incredibly, it’s been 4 years since I began creating birthday balloons for little Rafe.
This made me reflect, in those 4 years, a lot has changed. Life took an unexpected turn when my mum suffered a life-changing stroke, and overnight my family and I became carers. Navigating this new normal was one of the hardest things we’ve ever faced. Along the way, I lost myself creatively, worked far too much in that first year, and eventually burnt out.
Since then, my mum sadly passed away, and I’ve slowly been finding my way back to myself again. I’m now re-emerging and embracing creativity once more, finally having a little space to do so.
To every single person who continued to come back to me throughout all of this, thank you. Thank you for keeping me distracted, for trusting me with your special moments, and for allowing me to be a small part of your celebrations with family and friends.
Nothing means more to me than creating something that makes your memories feel that extra bit special ✨
