🚨 Check Your Spam Folders 👍

Lately I’ve noticed some emails sent to me are ending up in my spam, and I’m told some of the emails I’m sending are landing in spam too.

It’s happening across different devices, socials, and accounts – so I doubt it’s just me.
I think it might be the new UK online safety laws, as that's when I noticed the issue, but apparently, that shouldn’t affect this… still the internet’s like the wild west, it's happening, whatever is causing it.

Either way – it’s worth checking your spam/junk folders and message requests. You might be missing something important without even realising.

Total Lunar eclipse (blood moon) tonight.

From Horizon about 7.30pm
Shouldn’t look to bad until about 10pm

Bear in mind for pics it’s gonna be darker than a normal full moon that’s about daylight camera settings.

Maybe try 125 shutter, F5.6, 3200 iso, then changing ISO to perfection, or slow down on the shutter if you’re on a tripod 👍 or just point ya phone and hope for the best 😁

MTS Triton, St Lucia 1995 (30 years ago 🙄)

Just a helicopter tour photoshoot before hitting the beach 😎

Back then, my biggest dilemmas were:
– Do I party tonight and skip scuba diving tomorrow?
– Is diving Bonaire worth a night off the booze? 🤔
– Do I print the evening’s photos before or after the disco so they’re ready for morning sales? 🤔

That Triton had a bit of a rep as the fun ship to work on. I kept a diary during that time — still brings a smile 😁

These days? Life’s still great with the coolest daughter in the world. And I can still look back and say,
“I was young once, y’know!” 😂

Had a deep photog chat on Saturday — Would you do anything differently, knowing what you know now?
Not for me. I still get the cool jobs… and the best people. 🤷‍♂️😎

A prom photography thought — and really, this applies to all of my photography (and maybe yours too).

I started photography at 13, and the older I get, the more I understand why I take the photographs I take — and that understanding has shaped my style.

Prom Transportation:
At one of the proms last week, it was about 50/50 — some arrived in hired cars, others in their parents’ cars. I took the photos exactly the same, but I know some people might wonder: "Why bother getting a photo in front of your parents' car, whether it’s my old Saab saloon or something fancier?"

Here’s the thing — in 30 years' time, if you hired a car, you'll probably look back and think, "Wow, that was a cool ride."
But if it was your parents’ car? You'll absolutely love seeing what they drove at the time — especially if they’re in the photo with you. Trust me, I’m old enough now to understand how powerful that memory will be.

So whether it’s a hired limo or a family motor, you’ll treasure those photos — just for different reasons.
Whatever you go with, enjoy the night — it's one of those amazing moments you’ll always look back on.

Stunning Cambridge ❤️

With living in Ely it’s easy to think of Cambridge as just a10 slow traffic and shopping 😫 but just a few steps away is stunning architecture, relaxing punting, afternoon tea, all with a very Cambridge relaxed vibe.

It’s the cool thing with being a photog; ya get to see everywhere 😎

Just finished editing a wedding I shot 20 years ago. I love these photos — especially considering I must’ve still been in primary school at the time 👀

(And yes, I did edit them back then too — this is just a 20th anniversary refresh with today’s software.)

I’ve been so lucky to work with the nicest, most gorgeous couples… just slightly annoying they’ve all aged better than I have 🤷

Digital photography has come a long way since then, but one thing hasn’t changed — nobody looks back and cares what camera or filter was used. It’s all about the memories, the people, and the feelings you had at the time ❤
