About six weeks before every wedding, I send my couples a detailed questionnaire; ceremony times, speech order, readings, who's where and when. Then we get on a call and walk through the whole day together.
It sounds simple, but it changes everything.
By the time I show up on the morning, I already know the shape of the day. I know which moments matter most to them. I know if there's a dress reveal, or a moment they would love me to capture.
The call on this reel covers everything from what time I arrive to how I capture audio during speeches. The kind of things that are easy to overlook until they're not on the film.
Most of my couples tell me afterwards that the planning call made them feel calmer going into the day. Which is partly the point. The more clearly I understand what's happening, the less you have to think about me on the day itself.
