Down by the lake, beneath the canopy of trees, there is a stillness that settles over everything.
The water moves gently, the leaves shift overhead, and for just a little while, the rest of the world feels far away.
As vows are exchanged in this beautiful space, something wonderful happens.
The guests fade into the background, the noise disappears and for a few precious moments, it fells as though there are only two people in the whole entire world.
Just them.
The lake.
The trees.
And the beginning of everything.

The colour purple.

A beautiful late Spring bridal bouquet for my beautiful bride.
All the shades of lilacs and deep purples in this soft palette with sweet peas stealing the show as they so often do.
Romantic, slightly untamed, and full of movement.
Layered with seasonal British blooms.

Oh May.
Hello my dear friend.
How I have missed you.

Pastel spring flowers, just doing their thing.
Nothing forced, nothing overdone, just soft colour and the start of a new month.

This past week we have felt that gentle shift.
A little more light, blossom starting to pop on the first of the Blackthorn, the sound of Blackbirds and their gentle song.
We once again find ourselves in the in-between, sitting right at the cusp of spring.
It was our first wedding of the year.
The season, has at last, started again.
We knew we wanted to use blossom, weaving it generously through our designs, delicate and hopeful against the magical backdrop of The Granary Barns.
It felt like the return of the light itself, that subtle shift in the air when winter loosens its grip and the days begin to hum again.
There was a gentle busyness all around us, people milling, setting, carrying, laughing, each small act contributing to something much bigger for this beautiful couple.
After a long winter’s rest, to have flowers in our hands again felt like coming home.
The familiar weight of stems, the joy of creating, the rhythm of building something from nothing.
It brings with it a feeling of being exactly where you are meant to be.
It serves as a reminder of how, just like the flowers themselves, we return, season after season, ready to begin again.
