Every so often. A DJ or producer jumps out at me above the rest. I had James Zabiela as my warm up DJ for my weekly solo event “Bless this House” in Southampton 1995 - he won bedroom bedlam at the same time. And went on to be massive.
2000 - and my agent plays a tape of a guy scratching over hardhouse over my s**t mobile phone - i say “whoever the f**k that is… sign him right now” - he did - and the professional journey for Kutski was born.

Fast forward to this year and 2 new producers just blew my head if with the talent they dont even know that they have. Amy Slinky is one and the other is Ollie Thackeray …. I had to grab my phone as i always do in these moments. I have predictions for both of them. Just wow.

Just been sent this. I had been DJing since 91 and this was One of my first tapes that i made and duplicated to try and sell. I think i made 60 of them and blagged enough people to get rid of them all. Mad little memories that i thought were gone forever.
