I wasn’t going to address this, because quite frankly, I have better things to do with my time. However, there comes a point where staying silent is no longer an option, especially when an innocent 11-year-old child is brought into something that has absolutely nothing to do with her.
So, story time…
I completely understand that after 7 years of experience, countless hours of training, hard work and building your business, it might be frustrating to watch another girl come along with no previous experience, no qualifications to begin with, and suddenly go viral, build a successful business and gain an incredible amount of support and local custom in such a short space of time.
But here’s the thing… someone else’s success does not take away from your own. There is room for everybody to succeed, and I’ve never understood why another woman’s achievements should be seen as a threat rather than something to celebrate.
From the very beginning, you’ve made your feelings towards me quite clear. And that’s absolutely fine. You don’t have to like me, support me or agree with anything I do. I am not everybody’s cup of tea, nor do I ever intend to be.
Believe it or not, people send me things you post far more often than you probably realise. I have you blocked on every platform, both personally and through my business, for one simple reason: I am not interested in what you have to say about me. I don’t go looking for it, I don’t entertain it, and I certainly don’t lose sleep over it.
But now you’ve crossed a line.
My daughter, Isabella, is ELEVEN years old.
She sees flowers , especially flowers she helps me to do and thinks it’s her mammys work. No. Other. Reason.
For you to share my daughter’s TikTok on your own profile, regardless of whether it was intentional, accidental, meant to prove a point or done for any other reason, is completely unacceptable.
She is a CHILD.
She is not part of my business. She is not involved in any disagreements between adults. She has absolutely nothing to do with whatever opinions you may have about me.
You can dislike me all you want, but you do not get to involve my child. EVER.
What I find particularly sad is that I make a conscious effort to keep negativity away from my home. I don’t sit discussing people’s opinions of me around my children. When I’m at home, I’m a mum. That’s my family time, my safe space, and the part of my life that matters more than any amount of followers, customers or business success ever could.
And I certainly wouldn’t be going through my daughter’s phone to keep tabs on another grown woman. I’m 32 in November, for goodness’ sake. 😂
Jealousy is a very peculiar thing. It can make people so focused on what somebody else is doing that they forget to appreciate what they’ve built themselves.
I’ve never claimed to be better than anybody. I’ve simply worked hard, taken opportunities, built something I’m proud of and been incredibly grateful for every single person who has supported me along the way.
My success is not a personal attack on anybody else’s journey.
And while I can ignore comments, opinions, indirect posts and whatever else gets thrown my way, I will never ignore somebody bringing my child into it.
This isn’t about drama. It’s about boundaries, respect and knowing when enough is enough.
So I’m asking, very clearly, for my daughter to be left out of this entirely. Any content involving her needs to be removed, and I expect her not to be brought into this again.
At the end of the day, we’re two grown women, running our own businesses, living our own lives.
You do you, and I’ll do me. You’re in your village, I’m in mine. There is absolutely no reason for our paths to cross.
I genuinely wish you well in what you’re doing, but please put the same energy into your own happiness and success that you seem to put into keeping up with mine.
You don’t have to respect me, but you WILL respect the fact that my daughter is off limits.
And that’s the first, last and only time I’ll be addressing it. ❤️
