Don’t get me wrong… I love confetti thrown as the couple go down the aisle after the ceremony - I just don’t like those little organza or hessian bags tied with ribbons and with a pinch of dried confetti in them.
Why?
1) They are fiddly to open, so by the time the guests have untied them the couple have already walked by. 2) The amount of confetti is mean…
3) The petals are so light that they drop more on the guests rather than on the bridal couple
however hard you throw them.
4) The confetti gets caught in the dress, the veil, the hair…. Not a great look!
Give me a big basket of fresh rose petals any day, handed out towards the end of the
ceremony and everyone gets a handful. Easy!
