Last night I was honoured to win the Female Founder Award for Events & Hospitality Innovation.

If I’m honest, I arrived feeling completely unprepared. Running late, hair barely done, no lashes, wrong dress, and trying to juggle family life, business life and an investor call all at once. Pretty much a normal day in my world.

This award means so much because it represents every early morning, late night, risk, setback, lesson and leap of faith along the way.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, believed in my ideas, trusted my businesses, and cheered me on when things felt impossible. To my incredible team, my family, my friends, our customers and supporters – this belongs to all of you too.

From a florist with a dream to standing on a stage collecting a national award, it’s a reminder that extraordinary things can happen when you back yourself.

Here’s to the next chapter. 🌸✨

A little update from me… 💐

Following some minor surgery, I’ll be working from home this week while I recover, don’t worry the team have everything under control.

Thankfully, it’s the perfect opportunity to tackle the ever-growing admin list, catch up on enquiries, wedding consultations, proposals, and all those jobs that tend to get pushed to the bottom of the pile during busy weeks!

News flash… we officially handed in our notice to leave a relay service we’ve been part of for many years. 💐

Definitely not a decision I’ve taken lightly, especially during one of the busiest wedding seasons we’ve ever had. But when you’re spinning as many plates as I am, there comes a point where you have to stop pouring so much energy into building someone else’s business and start protecting your own.

First and foremost, I’m a mum to 3 beautiful babies. Then comes the brands I’ve built from the ground up with every ounce of passion, stress, sacrifice and determination I have:
Penelope Fleur.
Flowers by KDM.
Bloom Box.

Right now, my focus has to be on growing what truly aligns with our future, our values and the direction we’re heading in.

This weekend we have two incredibly special weddings for family members and honestly I can’t wait to floral them and celebrate alongside them. 🤍

Next week I’ll be taking some time to catch up on outstanding enquiries, wedding check-ins and team meetings so we can refocus our energy, creativity and time on where it’s best spent moving forward.

And finally — please remember the power of shopping local and ordering florist direct whenever you can. Supporting independent florists means more of your money goes directly into real people, real families and real small businesses… not middleman fees.

What an incredible day at RHS Chelsea 🌸

A huge thank you to Emma and the entire Flower Vision team for such amazing hospitality from start to finish. Early access preview to the show, an outstanding breakfast at the Ranelagh, lunch at the beautiful Thames View Bar, and the opportunity to spend the day surrounded by so much creativity and inspiration was so appreciated.

It was also lovely catching up with James Taylor at Smilax UK, seeing Lesley Rutter again, and meeting the incredibly talented Millie Henderson — your installation was absolutely outstanding 🌿✨

Days like this remind you why this industry is so special. So much talent, passion and kindness all in one place 💐
