SUNDAY 27th JULY at 8PM – IAN BRUCE, KEV GREEN, KATHERINA BRAMKAMP & FRANK DECKERT. Live at THE WEE FOLK CLUB, Downstairs at THE ROYAL OAK, INFIRMARY ST. EDINBURGH EH1 1LT.
IAN BRUCE has performed internationally solo, in a duo with Kev Green and with other musicians and as part of Bands such as Bruce, Besch and Bramkamp. He is a prolific song writer whose songs have frequently been recorded by other performers, Ian is also a very skilled interpreter of the works of Robert Burns.
KATHERINA BRAMKAMP is a singer songwriter based in Germany, her voice brings depth to the bands she works with, she also plays a range of instruments.
KEV GREEN’S musical influences are wide ranging, his duo gigs with Ian commenced during lockdown online and have developed into an ongoing musical duo performing live in folk clubs across the UK and Europe.
FRANK DECKERT plays a wide range of percussion instruments, across a range of musical genres. He is currently a member of Tammie Norrie playing traditional and less traditional folk music and frequently appears with Bruce & Bramkamp.
This is a rare UK appearance for Ian, Katherina, Kev & Frank. They don’t take themselves too seriously and this gig will be good music with a touch of humour.

BOBBY NICHOLSON is an Edinburgh based singer-songwriter and social commentator. He has toured widely in Scotland, the rest of the British Isles and Europe playing a combination of his own compositions and a range of more traditional music. He also plays in Duos with Grant Simpson (North Sea Gas), as one half of Rantum Scantum and for the last several years in the successful Edinburgh Festival Fringe Show - Gone Native.
This will be an evening of traditional, contemporary and original music making some social commentary, often with a fair amount of humour…..Definitely one not to be missed.

It’s good to see Ian Main and Andrew Macintyre back at the Wee Folk Club, always popular, these are two well-respected musicians from the Edinburgh folk scene. Ian Main (vocals and guitar) is a singer, guitarist and songwriter from Edinburgh’s southside. He has performed in many venues throughout the British Isles, both as a solo artist and with a variety of collaborators.
Andrew Macintyre (vocals and small pipes) is a hugely talented piper, he has an extensive repertoire of tunes for all occasions and ceremonies. Andrew has performed at many ceilidhs, concerts, Burns suppers and St Andrew’s Night and Hogmanay celebrations over the years.
Come along & enjoy an evening of both traditional and rather more contemporary Scottish and Celtic music, with interesting stories of the songs being sung…..
