Some pics from the field this week 🌸

It’s all feeling a bit chaotic and some parts are very tired and ready to be cut down but there’s still lots to enjoy. The cosmos are thriving and the polytunnel dahlias are finally starting to enjoy life in there. I’ve learnt so much this season and if I think about it I am actually very pleased with how much I’ve managed to grow despite having a baby in March!

Next year I’m determined to nail succession sowing better and hopefully get some irrigation in the polytunnel!

I’ve got my final wedding this weekend and then I’ll begin all the autumn tasks in the field 🙏🏻

Happy September! I absolutely love the changing of the seasons and it’s been feeling very autumnal this week. I’ll miss the flowers but I love this time of year with all the planning and prep and seed sowing, it feels like a proper reset.

The dahlias have been slow to get going for me so I’m hoping for a later first frost so I get to enjoy them for a while longer. Last year they were killed off mid-late September 🫠
