What a fun day! Full of joy and quite a few cocktails too. My favourite part was witnessing the cutting of the cake. I’ve never seen it done quite so creatively. 

I found it really hard to pick photos for this post so I think a part 2 is due at some point. 

For now, enjoy what was another incredible wedding at one of my favourite castles.

But as outdoorsy folk, they loved the idea of documenting this chapter in a place that is particularly important to their couple story.

After much deliberation, we settled on one of Scotland’s most recognisable postcard destinations. And sure, It did not disappoint.

A collision of creativity, good weather, and a healthy dose of the kind of magic you only find in The Scottish Highlands, led to what was a truly unforgettable experience.

Visiting Scotland for a castle wedding and also want an unforgettable adventure photos?

Ever since I got into wedding photography, I’ve always been most excited about capturing destination weddings here in Scotland. That’s largely because I am traveler and outdoor enthusiast at heart.

And with many couples visiting Scotland for a once in a lifetime trip, I honestly believe you should not neglect having an adventure shoot while here.

You’ll not just have the photos but the experience itself, of planning it from props to outfits, and the unpredictability of the weather combined with some of the best views on earth, it really is an incredible experience.

These are very relaxed shoots, with plenty time for various locations, with options for those who like hiking or not, it can be really whatever we make of it.

The final frame of the day - just as important as the first.

This photo was taken as end of a very long day. It was literally the last thing I did before packing up for the day.

A reminder that as photographers, we’re expected to stay sharp from the first moment through to the last.

This year, I’ve chosen to give myself more space between weddings, so when you book, you’re getting me fully present, fully focused, and at my best. 

Because consistency isn’t accidental. It’s actually something you have to prepare for.
