My first time back home to NZ in over six years. I jam packed this visit with so many incredible new experiences, seeing family, friends and showing Luke more of the beauty of Aotearoa.

KIWIANA vibes!

Some more of my NZ adventures. Traveling through the beautiful Art Deco city of Napier and then making our way down the North island to my city, Wellington. Gosh it was so good to be back and the weather was stunning.

We visited the wee seaside village of Eastbourne, and saw a few of the homes I grew up in. Drank a lot of NZ wine, craft beer and coffee, and I got a few new tattoos to add to my ever growing collection. 😝🇳🇿💚

The sounds of Aotearoa, New Zealand 🌊💧☀️🇳🇿🦆🦉🦜☀️

I get asked often about what I miss the most about NZ, and I reply “ I miss the smell and the sounds of New Zealand. I miss the native calls of all the bird life. I miss the singing of the Tui’s and the chirping of the summer cicadas. I miss the sounds of the waves crashing and the smell of sea salt mingled with native New Zealand bush. It is my senses that miss the country the most.”

New Zealand has a calmness about it that is unmatched to other areas of the world. This may be because it is so far away from everything else. It is a beautiful calmness, but at the same time I miss the energy and excitement about living in Scotland. They both have so much character. I equally love both countries and consider New Zealand and Scotland home.
