Thank you to every single person involved in Prevention Xmas Party on the 14th of December 2024. We raised a whopping £508.50 (+£16) for and £508.50 for ❤️ these donations will go towards supporting mental health awareness, support services and su***de prevention.

EDINBURGH WOWWWW! What a great night! Thank you to every single person who bought a ticket or who donated for Prevention Xmas Party. We raised a whopping... £1017!!!!!!!!! This amount will now be split between Health in Mind and Andys Man Club later on this week 💚

A special shout out to the staff Legends Edinburgh for looking after us all, to Deano Cook for smashing it on the sound desk, to Jack Batcharj for helping me get this gig arranged (big love my dude💚) and to the amazing bands Chekhov's Gun We Make Mammoths Catalysis Disposable Rend Them Asunder for playing incredible sets. 🤘

Join us once again at Legends Edinburgh for a great cause at Prevention Charity Events' Xmas Party!

Raising funds for Health in Mind & Andys Man Club, we'll be joining a stacked bill alongside Rend Them Asunder, Catalysis, We Make Mammoths & Chekhov's Gun !!

This is also going to mark our very first show as a 3 piece, and our final show of the year - come down for some big riffs and support a really important cause!

Thank you so much to all you lovely folk for following and interacting recently.
Prevention Charity Events is a fundraising project I set up to support charities within Edinburgh and further across Scotland. A few years ago, I recognised there was very few initiatives here that dedicated itself solely to organising fundraising events with our extreme music community in mind. Coupled with speaking to many women on the scene who shared their experiences of misogyny and their concerns regarding their safety at gigs I started this project to raise awareness and push for inclusion. This spurred me on to do my first fundraising event Preventionfest in March this year for International Women's Day which raised just under £1000 for . Since then I have set up another event for Christmas in aid of and and am currently planning another fundraising event for next year. The causes are a reflection of what myself and others within our community experience and wish to support.
I collaborate with the charities, Edinburgh venues, in house promotors and Scottish bands who are willing to donate their time to play (thank you angels, you know who you are🙏). Almost all of the administration, organisation and financial elements of this project is done by yours truly.

I'm incredibly humbled and grateful to see it's momentum building gradually.
I'm still working on creating more engaging content (algorithms got me like WTF😂 ...No clue) , but just wanted to say a big ole cheesy grinned CHEERS. Hope to see some lovely faces on December the 14th for Prevention Xmas Party at

The second charity we will be fundraising for on the 14th of December is Health in Mind. Based in Edinburgh they offer a pathway of services to support people with a range of mental health problems including anxiety, depression and trauma.
