3/3 - never did we imagine when getting tagged in a random LinkedIn post in 2021 that would lead up to being triple award winners! Last night Sian from and Jay from picked up a (which is like a Scottish Tourism Oscar!!) for Outstanding Cultural Event or Festival!
This fest is proper grassroots based on social connection and hope- it truly deliver meaningful social impact all year long!

How many months have we been in business?
Oh… just a casual 75 🤠
Or in actual human speak — we started in 2019. And proudly … we’re still here.
Some days it feels like a whirlwind, some days it feels like a spreadsheet, and some days im just singing Shania Twain “Looks like we made it… in my head.

What these pics don’t show is the stress, the late nights, the budget stretches, the tiny miracles, the spreadsheets of doom, the existential spirals, the hours gifted by good people, or the fact that we once convinced John Bishop (a vegan) to sell non-vegan pies at a Christmas market. 🤷♀️🥧
Or Ricky Tomlinson opening a restaurant in Liverpool.
Or Jamie Carragher telling us exactly what was said in that Istanbul dressing room that sparked the greatest footballing comeback of all time. 🔥
Or the quiet events that didn’t grab headlines but completely mattered.
What they do show is a wee slice of the creativity that keeps us coming back for more.

Founded in 2018, Strawberry Lemonade Events is an Events Management company specialising in corporate events from conferences to charity fundraisers.
Founder Sian Downes is renowned for organising sensational surprises including surprise trips to Vegas, New York, Barcelona, trips to see Sir Paul in concert, surprise flash mob choirs at airports and surprise parties for those who think they can’t be surprised.
She is absolutely passionate about making moments magical all while providing opportunities for people facing social exclusion. Having worked in the third sector for several years, Sian has seen first hand how investing and believing in people who have been marginalised by society can be truly transformative for both parties hence why SLE event crew is made up of people who have previously faced homelessness, addiction and mental health challenges. We train, recruit, mentor and inspire some of Scotland’s most canny and street wise event planners ensuring we have the slickest, most resilient and dedicated event planners in the county.
SLE also offers Party In The Post- a monthly subscription service, meaning you can celebrate with us every month! Straight to your door, add a little fiesta to the first day of every month as you receive a ready to pop party pack filled with all the kit you need to make your month magical. Each pack is month specific ensuring your are always set no matter if it’s Valentines, Cinco de Mayo or Halloween.
