Something special is on the horizon…

It comes with sand between your toes, the caw, cawing of seagulls and a glorious coastal backdrop 🌊🍦⚓️

Enough clues? I’m planning a big beach photo GIVEAWAY for February featuring a relaxed family photo session along the stunning East Lothian coast.
Think of you and your special people breathing in that sea air and creating new memories at Gullane beach, Yellowcraigs or North Berwick.

As a photographer, it should come as no surprise that I enjoy reflecting back on the year which frankly I can't believe is almost at an end.

That's 1000's more presses of my shutter followed by another 1000+ photos edited and sent to their families. And what wonderful families they all have been.

As I bid farewell to 2025, I want to thank you so much for each comment, like and all important review. It really does motivate me to continue pushing foward with the job I love.

It's no easy task running a business solo (I've had many a wobble, when doubt has set in), therefore it's also a huge confidence booster - and everyone needs a good dose of that!

You joined me for 2 special events this year:

Spring Blossom Family Minis and the 2nd year of my Children's Christmas Minis, each a huge success and so much fun to do!

This was one of the best decisions I made ☃️

My Christmas Mini Photo Sessions were a huge success again this year and I’d like to think one of the reasons was that I chose to incorporate some snowballs into the mix!
Honestly one of the best Amazon purchases I’ve made he he. Some of the more cautious kids visibly changed their demeanour when I told them that they’d be throwing them at mum and dad! Lots of fun for the kids and that’s why I love these sessions so much.

I mean, these are gorgeous right?

These mini folded albums showcase 2 or 3 favourite images from your photo session. They come in 6x6” or 8x8”. Lovely and compact, store them on a shelf or fold them out to display on a mantel or shelf.

Let me show you what I see

I did a couple of photo sessions in Edinburgh at the end of October and the light was just incredible. Photographers are always thinking about light and how to use it. Usually you would avoid harsh sunlight and photograph with your families looking away from the sun to avoid that squinted look, but at this time of year (mid to late autumn at the time of these photos) right through January the sun is much softer adding a warmth to pictures. Me heart does a little skip when conditions are like this!

Such beautiful autumnal light shone down on us yesterday as I took this couple round some delightful spots in Stockbridge in Edinburgh. The love between these too was clear as day 🥰 He was celebrating a special birthday and the photo session was a surprise!
