A few days off 🌟
Just had a wonderful few days catching up with my mum in London. We crammed in lots of art, music, fashion and food. It's so important to stop and see beautiful things! Frida Kahlo at Tate Modern was excellent, Renoir and Love so beautiful and we booked Painting the French Riviera late and it was really wonderful. Especially loved the large Yves Klein painting which was new to me 💙 . The Schapiarelli Exhibition at the V&A was stunning, amazing to think of all the 1930's ladies walking around in their fabulous dresses.

Feeling rested and inspired for this weekend's beautiful weddings 🌟 🤩 ⭐️

Two pink urns 💗

Two lovely big urns for the wedding of E & W at St Mary's Cathedral, moved to the beautiful Caledonian Hall at the Botanic Gardens. Photos four to eight were from today's wedding open day, flowers still holding strong. Thank you to for the beautiful dahlias and foliage.

Autumn bowls at the Botanics

The beautiful Calednian Hall lends itself to many colour schemes but something about the muted fern ceiling sings soft autumn 🍂 . The footed bowls were filled with gorgeous seasonal Scottish cut flowers from our friends in Perthshire and East Lothian.

We're delighted to say that this summer we've been added to the preferred supplier list at this beautiful venue, so we hope to be visiting more often. We have a lovely wedding here next Saturday and we'll be attending the Wedding Open Day on Sunday 4th October, come along and say hi and check out this beautiful space 🤍

Two autumn bowls filled with Scottish cut flowers for a lovely party last night. Beautiful dahlia, cosmos, scabious, astrantia, amaranthus, bracken, grasses and seed heads bringing the best of autumn colour and texture together.

Strange Beauties

An evening at the National Galleries of Scotland. This was an exciting brief for me, to create a tablescape following a private showing of an exhibition of the portrait artist Gwen John. The pallete followed Gwen's love of chalky white and muted pink, blue and inky darks. I sourced goddess head planters and gave them frilled celosia brains and amaranthus mohicans, with trailing coral amaranthus and touches of clematis amazing kibo and echinops, set against cobalt glass, brass and candlelight.
Full of texture, the heads were joined by trailing ivy and vines with fairy lights and candles along the length of the table.
Scottish dahlias, cosmos and sanguisorba and grasses filled low bud vases to bring in more texture and colour.

My dad used to bring me to this gallery, I never thought then that one day my work would be there, I hope he'd be proud 🌟
