Introducing Jess Silk, headliner of the next Folk up the Punx on the 13th of October at Wee Red bar! 🤩❤ Hailing from Black Country in England, she is bringing her shouty but melodic style of protest songs to Scotland for the first time! 💥

For fans of the Levellers, Frank Turner, Billy Bragg and all previous folk up the punx acts - you don't want to miss this!

Jess Silk is a folk-punk singer-songwriter from the Black Country armed only with an increasingly sticker-covered acoustic guitar and a distinctive, gravelly voice, Jess plays to audiences up and down the UK and has shared stages with many well known names among the folk/punk scene. Over the past couple of years Jess has appeared at a number of festivals including Bearded Theory, Rebellion and Glastonbury where she shared a stage with Billy Bragg as part of his Radical Roundup on the Left Field stage.
