It was a wild night of weather and a wild musical masterclass from Overdrive. It was loud and not particularly an evening of music to dance to (although some did), but WOW - what amazing talent from all four band members. We were 'Rocking in a Free World' and felt 'Born to be Wild'.
Listening to the long instrumental jams and atmospheric soundscapes of Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix - we were in awe. The heavier sounds of early 70s Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin to the softer classic rock of the Eagles made tonight a magnificent treat for serious music lovers.

Temporary Membership is valid for three months and provides the same benefits and access to the Club as a Social Member during this period.
This offer is only available to people who have never previously been a member of the Club and may only be used once per person.
At the end of the three-month period, Temporary Membership will automatically end. You will then have the option to join the Club as a full Social Member or another appropriate membership category, or simply allow your membership to expire.

We’re looking for a fantastic live band to perform at Sovereign Harbour Yacht Club for our Annual Sail Past Celebration.

🕗 8:00pm – 11:00pm
📍 Sovereign Harbour Yacht Club, Eastbourne

This is one of our biggest social evenings of the year, celebrating the club’s Annual Sail Past with a great crowd of members and guests. We’re looking for a lively, professional band with a varied repertoire that will keep the dance floor busy all evening.

And this afternoon Wetwheels South East completed their final trip out and we said goodbye to Wetwheels Outreach for 2026. They will sneak back for a couple of days in mid September as five sessions had to be postponed in the first week because of high winds and they will hope to honour these booked trips.

What an amazing Gala dinner last Friday. Fabulous food, superb service, a roomful of very generous people enabling us to raise over half of the £15,000 (along with Pirate's Day on the Saturday) in order to bring back the Wetwheels outreach programme back to the harbour next July. The evening was rounded off with great music from Wot's Cookin'. They will be returning on Saturday 15th August for you all to enjoy at 20.00.
