Hi everyone,

Lately, I’ve been spotting more and more all-white, “luxury” mobile soft-play setups popping up around East Sussex. They look lovely — very Instagrammable — like little VIP lounges for toddlers! 😂

Seeing all the different setups out there has reminded me how important the behind-the-scenes side of soft play really is. Kids don’t just sit and pose (I mean… I wish!) — they roll, tumble, crawl, launch themselves with enthusiasm, and generally explore every inch. So things like padding, floor surfaces, placement around the space and hazard spotting really matter.

For anyone who doesn’t know, Happyjacks Soft Play is my business, and one thing we take really seriously — even while keeping things fun — is safety. Every single setup is fully risk-assessed, and we make sure all equipment is placed on appropriately sized matted surfaces, away from any hazards and arranged with little adventurers in mind.

We still keep things bright, cheerful and playful, but with lots of thought behind where everything goes so parents can relax while the kids do their thing.

Here’s a little fast-mode behind-the-scenes of us setting up our Jungle Safari Package for one of our lovely hires last weekend — full of vibrant colours, adventurous soft play pieces and plenty to keep little explorers entertained!
