Very Magic Man

This week started with The Digital Accountancy Show on Tuesday with the unique team at R.E.P.R.E.S.E.N.T, it is incredible to see the drive that James, Antoaneta, Brad and Adeeb all have to ensure they are the best of the best in their industry.

Then onto ExCeL Wednesday and Thursday with a totally brand new client for me. Constance, Ryan and Georgia saw me working at The Retail Tech Show last year and booked me for this years show, I have to say the team at Evolve are fantastic as well as being really awesome to work with and I am now booked with them again NEXT WEEK at NEC Birmingham for another 3 days... as well as securing me for 2026 trade shows I'm also looking forward to presenting at their Wigan offices too, obviously I made a good impression in two days with them!

It's been a busy week and I have made some amazing new friends (all my clients are far more than 'clients'!), now i'm catching up on admin after an appointment with my consultant about my ankle which is slowly on the mend.

So a few people have been asking why I haven’t posted on her for a few months, and the reason is because I’ve not been working.

I shattered my ankle on 23rd December so have had an operation to put 3 plates and 12 screws into my ankle, after a month in a cast and another month in an orthopaedic boot I am now back ‘in the saddle’!

Next week I’m up to Macclesfield for a corporate booking with some mix & mingle before performing my new short cabaret set (which is funny as well as baffling!) then off to ExCeL for a trade show, finishing in Kenilworth for another corporate booking of my cabaret set.

It’ll be a good test of the surgeons skill at rebuilding ankles! Lol

It’s not often a client has me lost for words but yesterday evening was one such time, I was well and truly caught out by Mayuri Lakhani.

I was booked by Hydrotec (Water Treatment Specialists) to magish at their staff event aboard The Georgian (owned and run by The Windsor & Maidenhead Boat Company), it was 2 years ago that Sylvia Leigh-Quine booked me for my first Hydrotec gig and I have magished many times for then since.

As Mayuri announced the awards and gave well deserved praise to the various staff members she then presented me with my 2 Years Service Certificate… I am chuffed to bits!

The last month or so have been a bit of an emotional rollercoaster with my wedding alongside family bereavements, this made me realise that sometimes the loveliest things happen when you least expect them.

Thank you to Mayuri, Adrian, Sylvia, Scott and all the Hydrotec team for being the best audience a magician could ever wish for.

Oh… I also found out Mayuri likes to EAT 🤓

Hot off the back of last weeks IAAF Awards Dinner booking at NEC it was a pleasure to get a ‘call back’ for the IAAF conference at The Belfry for a fantastic evening of magic.
It’s always great to catch up with old friends and new from the automotive industry and great to magish for the Ash Sutton and Dan Cammish hot off their stellar performances in the British Touring Car Championship at Thruxton last weekend
