🙌 NEW STAGE = NEW SEMINAR! From manual to modern: Side by side data comparison of polytunnel technologies, sponsored by Ostara/Haygrove will take place on the NEW Agronomy Stage at Fruit Focus 2026.

Polytunnels account for 91% of covered farming globally, yet they have historically lacked the technological investment seen in the glasshouse industry. However, as extreme weather increases, wages increase and margins grow tighter, optimisation is essential.

In this session, data will be presented from the Ostara Haygrove 2025/2026 global trials comparing traditional manual tunnels against mechanically vented and fully software-automated structures. We will explore how pairing advanced hardware with data-driven control keeps crops in optimal growing conditions up to 25% more of the time. Beyond yield improvements, the data demonstrates how this transition drastically cuts manual labour and delivers attractive ROIs, ultimately creating a resilient, future-proofed business.

😍 When the grounds look as beautiful as this, you know the event is worth a visit!

Bradbourne House, situated in the heart of the Kent countryside, is steeped in history within the fruit industry. Acquired in 1938 by the East Malling Trust - an independent research organisation dedicated to supporting UK fruit growers - the 500-acre estate surrounding Bradbourne House is home to orchards, crop trials, and vineyards. Visitors can explore a wide variety of British fruit cultivation here, including apples, pears, cherries, and strawberries.

✨NEW AGRONOMY STAGE SEMINAR✨ How can you implement holistic growing? Sponsored by Fargro Ltd.

A holistic approach to fruit crop protection focuses on enhancing plant resilience and reducing reliance on synthetic chemicals. This method involves promoting robust root microbiomes, utilising organic materials and integrating biological pest controls. The goal is to build resilience, allowing crops to thrive under challenging conditions while minimising ecological impact.

The seminar will provide insights into how to implement this holistic approach effectively, helping growers maximise yields, reduce waste and improve operational efficiency.
