Controversial…
My enquiries have gone up. Genuinely, significantly up in the past few weeks. Zoom calls booked, confirmed, sometimes with a hundred per cent uptake. That should be a good problem to have.
Here’s the part I’m struggling with. A couple fills in the enquiry form. We arrange a Zoom call. I send a gentle reminder the day before. They confirm, yes, still on, looking forward to it, sometimes only hours before the call itself.
And then, nothing. No call. No message. No reply to the follow-up. Just gone.
Before anyone messages me thinking I’m having a go, I’m not. Life happens, plans change, work gets in the way, and that’s completely understandable. When that happens, couples message me, we reschedule, and it’s genuinely fine. That’s not what this is about.
What I’m talking about is the couples who confirm, and then simply disappear. No apology. No explanation. Nothing.
What most people don’t see is the preparation that goes into every single call, long before it happens. I look into your possible location. I go through everything you’ve sent me. I make sure I’m properly ready for you, specifically, not just ready in general. More than once, that’s meant turning down time with friends, or missing part of a family gathering, to be fully prepared and on time for a call that never happens.
So, the honest question. Is this happening to you too? And if anyone has actually found a way to stop it, genuinely, tell me how.
