This time next Sunday, the doors will be open for our Wedding Showcase at Durham Masonic Hall 💍

If you're newly engaged, searching for your wedding venue or you've already spotted us online and have been meaning to come for a look around… this is the perfect opportunity.

One of the loveliest things about seeing Durham Masonic Hall dressed for different weddings is just how different it can look every time.

Our private gardens give you your own little outdoor space right in the heart of Durham City, perfect for wedding photographs, drinks with your guests and those quieter moments away from the celebrations.

And because we host just one wedding per day, when it's your wedding… this space is yours too. 🤍

It's one of those parts of the venue that's so much better experienced in person.

Located right next door to Durham Masonic Hall, The Town House offers beautiful, individually styled rooms, perfect for your wedding night or for friends and family travelling to celebrate with you.

And couples getting married with us can also benefit from a special discounted rate on overnight stays 🤍

During our next Wedding Showcase, you'll be able to pop next door, have a look around and take a tour of some of their gorgeous bedrooms too.

You could walk past this little detail a hundred times without ever really noticing it… But look a little closer 👀

This striking door knocker on the door into the Ceremony Room echoes the famous sanctuary knocker at Durham Cathedral - a little piece of unmistakably Durham character hidden within our historic building.

And that's one of the things we love about the Hall. There are beautiful, unusual details everywhere you look, each adding to the history and personality that makes this such a unique place to celebrate your wedding.

✨ And just like that… wedding ready! ✨

One minute Lisa is standing in an empty Grand Hall… one little camera wipe later and look what happens 😍💍

Okay, maybe there was slightly more work involved behind the scenes! 😂

The fabulous team at Lily Wedding Hire worked their magic to transform our Grand Hall ready for our Wedding Showcase, and what a difference it makes 🤍

It’s one of our favourite things about this room. Start with a beautiful historic space, then add your colours, your styling and your personality and suddenly it becomes your wedding.

🧡 When even the Master of Ceremonies matches the wedding theme… 😂

Pete and Lisa at Laura & Kieron’s wedding, and we have to give Pete some appreciation for the commitment to coordinating with the colour scheme! 👏

It’s become a bit of a tradition now, whatever colours our couples choose, the master of ceremonies somehow manages to find a waistcoat to match!

Just one of the little touches (and familiar faces!) that makes a wedding at Durham Masonic Hall feel that bit more personal 🤍

This is Lisa on a wedding day when the Grand Hall is dressed, the tables are set and all those months of planning have finally become real. 😍📸

And yes… she gets just as excited as the couples do! 😂

There’s something so special about seeing all the little details come together, the colours, the flowers, the table decorations and all those personal touches that make every wedding completely different.

After talking about plans and ideas for months, seeing the finished room before the guests arrive never gets old ✨

You’ll probably find Lisa taking approximately 427 photos before anyone is allowed in 😂🤎
