About Us
I am Anya Hutchinson the founder and owner of Flowers by Anya
My passion for horticulture and everything to do with flowers and nature started from a very young age watching my grandad on his allotment growing all manner of fruit, vegetables and some amazing sweet peas, sweet williams, freesias among other seasonal flowers, their smell was out of this world.
My passion grew as I got older and I then volunteered to work at one of the florists on Hayling Island in Hampshire where I am originally from, eventually after three long years studying at college I qualified with my City & Guilds NVQ qualifications in Floristry and worked up through the company to then run, manage and teach others.
I have been privileged to work with some of the best award-winning fellow designers in the industry, with whom I have learnt many skills & who have provided inspiration for me to make unique creations of my own.
I have also collaborated with some fantastic wedding suppliers and worked on some great unique styled shoots.
I love working with all different mediums from traditional to alternative, quirky and unusual luxurious designs which feed your imagination.
In 2018 my partner and I moved to Somerset in the heart of Exmoor and the fantastic landscapes here give me many inspirational ideas for my designs.
