It’s all fun and games until you need new parts from France 🤭

It was nearly a year ago we launched the van as the next step for us at Thom’s and so much has changed since then!

If it has taught us anything it’s that so much can happen in a year, and whether you give it a go or not, time passes anyway 🤎

We’ve got GOOD NEWS and BAD NEWS 🥲

Let’s start with the bad news! Our beloved Marcel (the new van) needs a little bit of TLC (in the form of some new brakes - that need to come from France) so will be taking a few weeks of self care at the garage 🙃

That means after tomorrow we’ll be closed for 2 weeks (hopefully at the most!) to give him time to get back to full health!

The GOOD NEWS is that tomorrow’s Sunday Slice will be CINNAMON ROLL FOCACCIA 🤎

Don’t forget we’ll also have our Salt Beef Sando Special, Sea Salt Focaccia Slices and lots of Sweet Treats too 🤭

We’ll be open from 10am - 2pm tomorrow for your focaccia fix!

EPISODE 2: Bread Maker - Bread Winner

The bit of running Thom’s you don’t see on Instagram 👀

You see the van. You see the coffee. You see the focaccia.

But behind the scenes there’s a LOT that goes on before we even open that hatch!

Planning. Ordering. Admin. Recipe testing. Cleaning. Content. Stock checks. And, somewhere in amongst all of that… actually making the bread.

Turns out there’s a lot more to being a breadwinner than just being a bread maker 🤎

Salt Beef Sando 🤝🏻

New month, means new focaccia sandwich special!

This month we’re bringing a zingy twist with our Salt Beef, Sauerkraut, Emmental and Mustard sandwich - all of course on our homemade focaccia bread 🫡

Available every day we’re open this month we’d love to see you down to give it a try!

In case it isn’t your style though, we’ll still have our usual sandwiches on the menu, our sea salt slices and focaccia loaves tonight - as well as some of your favourite sweet treats (malteaser crunch included) 🤭

See you tonight from 5pm-8pm, along Alexandra Parade 🤎

P.s this is currently my favourite sando so far 👀

Sometimes our bakes don’t get as much screen time as the bread but I thought it’s about time I shout from the rooftops about our sweet treats ✨

Although baked in the same kitchen as our bread (coeliacs beware!) most of our baked goods use gluten free ingredients, and I have to say they taste blooming good - I swear I’m not just saying that!

So gluten intolerant or not, we’d love you to pop down to the van and see what it’s all about 🤎

My perfect Sunday would be a lie in and then a morning walk with a stop for coffee and freshly baked bread 👀

Unfortunately, no lie in for me as I’ll be up baking lots of Nutella focaccia slices for you to enjoy from 10am tomorrow 🤭

It’s also the LAST day of our Chicken Caesar Sandwiches 🐓 so get yourself down to get one before they’re gone!

And since they were so popular this week I’ll be making some more Apple Crumble Muffins for you all 🤎

Did someone say Autumn??

Oh I meant apple crumble muffins … 🤭

The apple tree in our garden was looking too good to resist, so on the menu tonight we have the perfect homegrown apple crumble muffins for a cosy night in 🤝🏻

We’ll also have our usual little focaccia loaves; and slices on tonight and this week is also your last chance to grab this months special Chicken Caesar Sandwich before we switch it up for October 🐓
