Sadly, Iain’s grandad passed away on Friday at the incredible age of 102. I only knew him for 5 of those 102 years, but from the day we met he welcomed me into his family and loved me as one of his own. He was full of fun, stubbornly independent, highly respected and fiercely proud of his daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a lover of Burns, all things Scottish, bowling and photo albums (if you know, you know 😃). But his biggest love was his wife Jessie with whom he shared 74 years of married bliss.
To Laurie Henderson, the man I was honoured and privileged to know as “Grandad”, rest in peace. Love you xx
