Some of you have guessed a few correct reasons behind the name of “The Rowan Room”

The name actually came from a mix of things that felt meaningful to me.

The Rowan tree grows all across Scotland and has long been part of Scottish folklore, often seen as a symbol of protection, magic, and warmth around the home. I loved the idea of choosing something rooted here, because living in Scotland has made me appreciate the quiet magic in everyday moments… misty walks, cozy cafés, and gathering with lovely people (which is why the “Room” part felt just as important).

Also…certain fantasy readers might notice a tiny Easter egg in the name too! (If you know, you know🩵)

What started as a little idea in my head somehow turned into a room of laughter, paint-stained fingers, nervous introductions that turned into friendships, and an incredible group who said yes to something new.

To every one of you that came, supported, hyped, believed in this, thank you💛 You are officially apart of the first chapter of this (hopefully the first of many)

We have a little over two weeks until the day of the event, so if you feel drawn to a cozy, candlelit sip and paint with good food and good company, this is your sign🖤

I’m so excited to finally share all the details for our Night Court inspired Sip & Paint! Apologies for the delay, a few of you had reached out for ticket details earlier and I just had to finish the last bits of planning the details!

What’s included in the £35 ticket:
– Complete paint setup + canvas to take home
– Afternoon tea-style food with tea & coffee
– Candlelit Night Court vibes, music & photo moments

🍾 Optional “Faerie Wine” Prosecco add-on (£5)
Additional drinks can be purchased on the day

📅 Saturday 21st February

Join us for a Night Court inspired Sip & Paint in Dundee under starry skies in The Landmark Hotel’s conservatory styled space at The Maze.

📆Saturday 21st February 2026
🕣5:30-7:30 PM (doors open 5:15PM)
📍The Maze, Landmark Hotel (Dundee)

Whether you come to paint, debate wingspan, or just to enjoy the moment, it’s all coming together beautifully for you!

This will be a ticketed event to best allow for preparation of food, seating, and each person’s painting setup.

If the Night Court hosted a paint night….this would be it🎨🌙
Here’s a little sneak peek of our venue (more details to come shortly)! We’ll be in this conservatory space as we create our little masterpieces and enjoy a night together in Velaris.

🌙 Night Court Sip & Paint 🌙

An evening inspired by ACOTAR & romantasy:
candlelight, fairy lights, cosy luxury vibes, painting at golden hour turning into night, and meeting people who get it.

You don’t need to be an artist.
You can definitely join solo.
Just come ready to create, unwind, and step into a little magic.
